Join UsThe Minnesota Valley Chorale…for those who love great choral music and those who like to sing it.

The Minnesota Valley Choral is always looking for great people with good voices to share their talents and join our group.

The Chorale is a group of dedicated vocalists who gather to rehearse and perform vocal works from masters like Mozart to contemporary composers like Whitacre and Lauridsen. The rehearsal year is divided into two semesters. The fall session begins generally the first Tuesday after Labor Day in September. The two concerts for this semester are usually in mid-November and take place on a Saturday night and the next day on Sunday afternoon. Our rehearsals are Tuesday nights and run from 7:00–9:00 p.m. The spring semester begins with rehearsals early in January and the spring concert is usually in April on a Saturday and Sunday just like in the falls. There are no rehearsals in the summer or in the Thanksgiving to New Year period. We occasionally join other arts organizations like the Mankato Symphony, the MSU concert choir and others for special projects like operas and major works like Brahm’s Requeim and Handel’s Messiah.

The director of the Minnesota Valley Chorale, Eric Harstad, hears auditions from all singers, returning and new. This to see how each singer and each voice fits within the Chorale. This process with takes place a week or two before rehearsals start. Please email minnesotavalleychorale@gmail.com to schedule a time.

You can view our news section for information on upcoming audition times for new members.
